Hello! You’ve made it here, to this glistening repository of reviews by me, Matt Barton, a freelance critic and features writer for WhatsOnStage and the Financial Times.
I review theatre in Manchester, London and across the UK, extraordinarily well, as you’ll see. The site’s name might be admittedly rubbish – all the good ones were taken, and I hadn’t the brazen temerity to just stick .com after my name – but I hope the writing is less rubbish.
I participated in the 2018 Greater Manchester Critics Scheme, led by Catherine Love. I’ve also written reviews and features for A Younger Theatre, as well as an op ed for the Graduate Recruitment Bureau.
